چکیده

Abstract Background Currently, nanotechnology and nanoparticles have quickly emerged gained the attention of scientists due to their massive applications in environmental sectors. However, these silver potentially cause serious effects on terrestrial aquatic organisms. In current study, freshwater fish C. carpio were exposed blood-mediated for toxicity, mortality, bioaccumulation, histological alterations. Silver fabricated using animal blood serum toxic effect was studied against common carp at different concentrations levels (0.03, 0.06, 0.09 mg/L). Results The findings revealed a little influence blood-induced behavior highest concentration (0.09 bioaccumulation reported organs fish. Maximum liver, followed by intestine, gills, muscles. Furthermore, shown that led histopathological alterations; including damaged structure gill tissue caused necrosis. It is summarized alteration intestine mostly occurred Conclusion This study provides evidence life; however, further systematic studies are crucial access AgNPs life.

Toxicity of Citrate-Capped Silver Nanoparticles in Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio)

Juvenile common carp (Cyprinus carpio) were used as a model to investigate acute toxicity and oxidative stress caused by silver nanoparticles (Ag-NPs). The fish were exposed to different concentrations of Ag-NPs for 48 h and 96 h. After exposure, antioxidant enzyme levels were measured, including glutathione-S-transferase (GST), superoxidase dismutase, and catalase (CAT). Other biochemical para...

Quinalphos induced alteration in respiratory rate and food consumption of freshwater fish Cyprinus carpio.

Acute toxicity of commercial grade organophosphate insecticide, quinalphos (25% emulsified concentration) to common carp (Cyprinus carpio) was tested through bioassay. The acute toxicity of quinalphos to the fingerlings exposed for 96 hr was found to be 2.75 ppm. For sub lethal toxicity study, the fish were exposed to two concentration viz., 1/10th of LC50 (0.275 ppm) and 1/5th of LC50 (0.55 pp...

Changes in biochemical and physiological responses of common carp, Cyprinus carpio L. after long-term exposure to Pb (II)

In this study, the chronic toxic effects of Pb (II) on common carp, Cyprius carpio were  investigated using  several  biomarkers at different levels of biological functions for assessing changes in ecosystem quality. In a bioassay, common carp juveniles were individually exposed to different dose of heavy metal, Pb II (0, 0.45, 0.89, 1.34 mg.l-1) for 28 days. Morphological indices such as hepat...

Bioaccumulation of heavy metals in organs of fresh water fish Cyprinus carpio (Common carp)

The objective of the present study is to determine the bioaccumulation of heavy metals in various organs of the fresh water fish exposed to heavy metal contaminated water system. The experimental fish was exposed to Cr, Ni, Cd and Pb at sublethal concentrations for periods of 32 days. The elements Cd, Pb, Ni and Cr were assayed using Shimadzu AA 6200 atomic absorption spectrophotometry and the ...

Histopathological alterations in spleen of freshwater fish Cyprinus carpio exposed to sublethal concentration of sodium cyanide

Aquatic ecosystems in areas with intense mining activity are often subject to cyanide contamination; the present study was aimed to evaluate the harmful effects of sodium cyanide on histoarchitechtural aspect of spleen of freshwater fish Cyprinus carpio using an in vivo approach. The fishes were exposed to a sublethal concentration of 0.2 mg/L of sodium cyanide for duration of 10 and 20 days an...
